Some days, I feel my household is on the verge of losing it. I’m yelling, or they’re yelling, about Zoom codes, stepping on toys, the printer not working, that dinner isn’t to someone’s liking, over the household chores…over it all. Some days, I crush it. Like on Monday, when I led a terrific meeting for CNBC, got all 3 kids to complete their homework and made a delicious meal of homemade chicken tacos.

I know I am not alone on this rollercoaster ride of life.

“Covid-19 has had a greater impact on the mental health of women than men. 53% (of surveyed women) said that Covid-related stress has had a negative impact on their mental health, compared to only 37% of men,” according to Forbes.

Sometimes, you just need a moment.

That’s where box breathing can help. It can be done anywhere, for any length. It is used by Navy Seals and taught to executives as a universal tool for “catching your breath.”
